Combat Formations

TW Scenario files allow for several different formations to be specified for different units. Formations can be specified for each Unit in the formation setting of the Unit section.

Acceptable Formation Settings:

Trail

This formation is also known as "Line Astern." This can have positive (formation extends behind lead) or negative (formation extends in front of the lead) values.

Trail Formation

Abreast

These formations can extend to the right with positive values, or to the left with negative values.

Line Abreast Formation

Echelon

Echelons are to the right by default but they can be angled to the left by adding a minus sign (-) in front of the spacing value in the Scenario file Unit section.
