Text Labels

The option is available to view terrain feature descriptions in the Main Viewing Window. These descriptions are derived from the terrain input data and typically consist of river names, object names, border descriptions, ownership designations, airfield names, etc. To add this to your map, select Options -> Text Level from the menu bar.

Once you select this item, a text level window will appear.

You can control the amount and type of text added to the map by varing the text level value in the window. There is no fixed defination of what text information exists at each level, so some experimentation might be required. Generally, a text level of 5 will add all available data.

An example of this data added to a section of Korea is provided below:

Note: In many cases the text cannot be seen until you zoom into the map.

The size of the text used for Objects is controlled by Options -> Font. Selecting this option will open a font size window where the base size of the font can be increased/decreased.

This option only works on the text applied to terrain Objects.
