Customizing Your Setup
The Targetware Flight Sim Environment is designed
to give players maximum control over how they interface
with the simulation, and how the game engine uses
their hardware.
Customizing Game Settings and Controls
One of the first things you will want to do is tweak
the game settings to maximize performance and visual
quality on your machine. Of course, you may also want
to set your login name and password, guncam settings,
and other important items. You can do this by using
the Settings section within the Targetware
interface. See Keys,
Controls, and Calibration for more information.
You can also manually edit the Config.txt and file
directly. See The
Config File for more information.
Every game function can be custom mapped to a key
or joystick axis or button of the player's choosing.
Some functions are mapped to joystick axes, while
others
are mapped
to keyboard keys & joystick buttons. Multiple input
devices from different manufacturers can be used
to control your airplane. Please note that while
you can fly with just the keyboard, we highly
recommend a joystick for controlling the roll and
pitch of the aircraft.
