Flying in a Squad

Members of squadrons have access to several features of Targetware that assist with communication and support between players: communication, recognition and performance rating.

Squadron Communications Channel

Squadron members have a Squad Channel in which they can privately discuss matters. By default, this channel is assigned to the R key.

To change the key assignment for Squad Channel transmission, go to Settings -> Controls -> Chat and edit the entry for "Squad."

Squadron Recognition - Icon Color

Squad members are able to recognize each other in-game by an icon color. The default icon color assignments are:

Changing Squadon Icon Color

To change the color of squad member's icons, open the Config.txt file in the Targetware folder. In the [Client Labels] Section, edit the Squad Color line with new Red, Green, Blue, and Alpha values.

Squadron Ratings

It is possible to compare the relative performance ratings of different squads by viewing their combined statistics at TW Combat Logs.
