TPC: Tactical Pilotage Chart

The Tactical Pilotage Chart (or "TPC) is an in-game map of the region in which a scenario takes place. It is toggled on or off with the F4 key by default.

The TPC is not a GPS-like "you-are-here" map. It is only accurate to a few kilometers.

The Engagement Zone is represented by the large white circle. This is where combat action will take place. Once you enter this zone, if you leave it, you will be Disengaged (unless there is an enemy within the enemy_dist range defined in the scenario file).

The Mission Location is drawn with a small green square. This is the center of the Engagement Zone.

The Unit Start Location is a small green circle. This is where your unit will enter the scenario.

The Unit Base Location is a small green circle. In this example, it is overdrawn by a small white circle. The unit base may not appear on the TPC if it is beyond the range drawn. The Unit Base Location is used to calculate how much fuel a unit has already used to get to the Unit Start Location.

Friendly Fields are small white circles. When they are located within the Engagement Zone, a player can land at these fields to safely disengage. The same can be done outside that zone if there is an enemy within the enemy_dist range, which is defined in the scenario file.
