This may very well be the first sim to have a Pfalz D.XII before it has a Fokker D.VII. Not that I'm complaining. I always thought the D.XII was underappreciated.

I can't wait to groundloop the HP O/400. Wink

Like I said, I'm not complaining. But that D.VII looks good, and I'm sure it will be a welcome addition to the game when it's ready. I just hope the Pfalz Flugzeugwerke can work out the radiator problems on their new fighter and deliver it to the front before Fokker beats them to the punch. Wink

It would be nice if they got some of the new BMW engines too. Cool

Leadtail is also preparing upgraded N.24 series which will improve the current model very much (for the standard of the N.17)

Because it is a render in the 3d program and not a game screen shot.

Sorry Leadtail just used to scene lighting in Maya and Max renders only dabbled with AC3D many years ago.

Not so much poly count as file size, keep under 1Mb. Suggest around 500kb per file.

On ploys it all depends what else your loading, I did do a test a few years ago and managed to load 1 million polys. But that was extreme and it was slow, less then 10 fps.

Back to aircraft: The RAF RE8

Image

Doing a full structure on this one, so will have an extensive damage capability for TW2.

Poly count: external : 14,500 polys. So she is detailed.

To do:
Engine detailing and animation workings.
Interior detail

Here is the structure modelled, not to the n'th degree, but very good for close in action. This is going to be used for an extreme damage model, ready for TW2.

Image

I'm going to complete the engine, with its ususal animation and then set out the UV map and do the paint job.
