Not bad, all things considered:
My mechanic is gonna hate me:
No, it isn't a reversed picture, the other wheel got shot off this time:

(S!) ALL hi
may I say something about the shot of the Dr1 from the back side, there again I am not trying to curtsies I am trying to help, ok first the mid an bottom wings seem a little short in span, there is no scalloping effect on the trailing edge of the wings a very prominent thing on a Dr1, the nose seems to be not wide enough to thin, the body does not have that nice taper to it going back to the tail plane its much to wide and on the top of the body about half way down there is a line on one side that runs long ways down to the tail, is that suppose to be the turtle deck, if so it starts much to far down the body and is only shown on one side when it should start just after the cockpit and run down to the tail from both sides, just thought I would let you know what I see there, slap me if I am wrong
your friend in the sky……..and soon I will be there, a new computer is on the way

I'm thinking that the scalloped wire edge was not used in order to keep the poly count down. |

(S!) ALL hi
I would like to work with the dev, team if that is possible, I have done a fair amount of work in Red Baron 3d and came to the point where I could not relies my ideas of what I wanted to do because the RB game engine I found to be limited, like a moveable rear gun for a 2 seat plane an so on, there is a lot of things I would think of putting into a new WW1 game a lot more then RB can offer and if you can get together a new super WW1 game then you will get the RB players and all that goes with them like their Would League games and all, hell its going to happened one day and one day soon we almost had it with Knights over Europe then the money ran out, now Targetware and there is an other one that just came about its called Over Flanders Fields and it’s a full game to come that is one great big supper patch that goes to a Microsoft’s Combat Flight Sim,3 as the game engine, like I said its going to happen one day soon, we will all have a nice new hi-tack full WW1 game to play.

Hey Deutschmark -
Send me a PM (see messages in links at the top of this page) Let me know what you are interested in working with. 3d models ? 2D textures ? A text editor and coding .acm and .anm files ?? What would you like to do for RS development? Look through the dev guide and start playing with your version of the mod. It's a good idea to copy your install of targetware into a "working copy" that you do not use regularly to connect online. Connecting to the server will overwrite any files that you may have changed in your experimentation. I'm always interested in help from those who love this era of flight and want to participate. (A dev Team Invite comes along once you show us what ya can do.) |

PLEASE!!! help them make some more planes so we can be rid of the camel vs dr1 fights. I'd do it but I'm kinda incompetent in the field of computer programing. feel free to ask me just about anything when it comes to any mechanical device |

<S>
Had a different evening with Eilif and Blackflie. Bomb runs on gun emplacements in F5B GunBus.
Got to tell you Mills bombs are not the proper tool. After 3 sorties of getting our heads handed to us by a large gun emplacement, Eilif and I up'd in BE2c's with 2 112 lb bombs. First pass I nailed a canvas hanger but the gun emplacement was still up but strangely quiet. Going over the log that one 112 pounder killed all 4 machineguns in the emplacement but there was less than 10% damage to the emplacement itself. Guess you can't kill a pile of dirt easily.

A couple of new ones.
I repay Energizer for shooting at me as I was landing after an outstanding duel:
Ok, he bailed out, but he would've exploded soon anyway:

These were taken late Friday night/early Saturday morning on the Kings of the Clouds server:
Vascoa in the lead, tenutz on the left wing
Vascoa closer...you can almost read his instruments
And tenutz closer
tenutz farter away, Vascoa closer to the camera
same in external view
We flew in formation like this for well over a half-hour and we went almost to the coast. It was almost as much fun as combat and, in a lot of ways, more challenging. But as tight as we got at times, there was never any contact.
Hey, JoGunn. Could this be made a sticky, so people can find it more easily? It might prompt more folks to post pics. And with the "Kings of the Clouds" event coming up Thursday night..... |
